So the city of Seville has it's cleaning and garbage pick up crews on strike. It's interesting to see things pile up and the signs on the trucks that say "Minimal Service (translated)".

Above is the dinner table where we have all the meals from home. It's a nice set up I think.
So this above is the Iglesia de Catalina I think. the Plaza is named after Ponce de Leon. on the left side of the image out of view is the entrance to this church that was once a mosque and if you continue down that street you will find El Rinconcillo on the left. El Rinconcillo is a bar that has existed since 1670 and it is often full. Taking pictures there felt a bit awkward but I got one or two.
This is from in front of La Plaza de EspaƱa.
Liz and Hannah in the jungle!
This is obviously an albino peacock. It was up in a tree with a bunch of other non albinos. They were on a nice island with pigeons and ducks like the one below. The duck picture turned out pretty well because it was in the middle of accelerating.

This kid is awesome, he had a pedal car.
Behind me is the bird island and the tree to the right is the bird tree.
This is from a gazebo from a nice little peninsula in the park. (Parque Maria Luisa)
There were carvings like this in many trees, even the gazebo had grafiti.
This tree got cut down obviously.
This tree is very much intact and was incredibly cool. This picture does no justice.
QUAD COPTER!!!! The guys that brought it were stopped by the police. I don't know if they ever flew it but I got some pictures before they packed it away.
The yogurt is named Piccolo, that's my dog's name!
Above and below you can see the gear we had to use for the Past View tour. We were the first group to do this from the school. It was alright, the videos were ok and the superimposed pictures were not that great. The information was useful though and could put us ahead in the Monuments Class.

Above is a picture above an arch of the tower
 Here's the tower!
 It's that bird again!

Above and below are more of the bird island.
The rest of the images below are from the park as well. It's a beautiful park and I want to explore it more.

So the trip to Strasbourg seems to be leaning strongly to Rennes instead, unfortunatley there will only be two days there. So a quick story about the pictures below (many more are on facebook and you can ask about there if you so wish) THe top one there is of the old ship yards. It is closed to tours now but I got the shot here from a broken window. The next one is from above a structure that is known as Las Cetas (the mushrooms) in the plaza de la encarnacion. Below that  is a palm tree stump tucked so nobody runs into it. I thought it was interesting so I took a picture. Below that are mor pictures from on top of the mushrooms. One of these days soon I'll upload pictures from my camera and the visit to some gardens and parks.

Hey it's been a while!
So, Sunday was spent with my Aunt and Uncle that visited from Cordoba. We walked around, and then got lunch at a McDonalds. Because of the weather and it being Sunday there wasn't much open but all was made up for by going for dessert at a nice little place near where I live. It was pine nut cake and it was fantastic.

Monday was our first day of classes and they were fun. I have the same room and the same teacher for both of them. Those classes are Women in Spanish Literature, and Spanish Cinema and Television (something along those lines). Through the weekend and Monday the wind has been very strong and did threaten to topple trees and on some occasions the threat became real. I'll have pictures up sometime this week once I get other things sorted out and when I get pictures from others.

Tuesday (today relatively speaking[typing]) I had class from 10 to 1130 and from 1-3. Those classes are Monuments of Sevilla and Spanish Folklore. These classes are going to be great. I know so much background from just what I know and because I had a European Geography class and a Spanish Civilization class last semester.

Plans are to go to Grenada next week with an eventual trip somewhere else abroad  Perhaps some place in Germany, France, or Italy. As of now I'm looking at Strasbourg France and there I would meet up with an old friend Danielle.

Tomorrow I have a bus tour of Seville and that will be exciting if it isn't cancelled again.

Today is the first weekend and the first day where nothing was planned by the school. Some of the group (Donelle, Hannah, and Liz) agreed to meet at the usual spot in front of the school at 10 am. We ate breakfast nearby and I introduced them to Chocolate y Churros while I had toast with tomato instead. I did let them sample it and I think it is safe to say that everyone here is enjoying all the food there is.
