San Francisco bridge in Lisbon!
Roca and a Hard Rock Cafe. Roca is a popular toilet brand.
Taxi cabs were green and black but were later commanded to be white. After a while this law went away because nobody obeyed it. the green and black cabs are seen with white cabs.
Lisbon Cathedral, The river used to go right up to it but because of deposition it is now a hundred or more meters away.
Gothic!
There was a clicking sound here that confused us, it is a pigeon deterrent. Some pigeons are wising up though.

Sanlucar, where the Guadalquivir meets it's end.
Fishing before the fish get to the Atlantic.
Castle!
The beaches are not that great for swimming.
Plotting our next course.
Shark egg.
Welcome to Wisconsin on the Atlantic!
1 fish
This is the rape fish. Pronounced Ra-peh
Shark egg on a stick. I found it like this and tried to put another on but these things are nearly indestructible.

We did another day trip to Sanlucar. It's the end of the Guadalquivir and we saw some awesome things there. The people were super friendly and we were allowed to go on a wine tour with a private group for free. I'll tell more about that when I get the pictures up (there are few but I don't have them all. There is a photo contest so I have to wait to have access to them so there's no cheating). The River had terrible beaches if you're looking to swim or simply not step on something pointy but there were very interesting examples of sea life. There were oyster and mussel shells washed up. Among them were also some nice weathered rocks and some junk from upriver. The interesting bits were the washed up fish and chark egg pods. We saw a rape fish (pronounced rah-peh, like a frappe) that died and got washed onto the shore. Before the Sanlucar trip was a day trip to Italica. Italica was a Roman city outside of Seville. There are reconstructions of what the town looked like as well as some complete mosaics found there. The center piece is a Roman Colosseum of an oval shape. It was re-discovered about 200 years ago and since then may pieces have been stolen or put into private collects like en the Palace of Lebrija. Some of those palaces that hold the private collections are now open to the public.
In class we watched Blancanieves, the Goya winning picture from last week. It was a very well done movie and it was a silent film. The ending was confusing but I'd have to see it again to be sure of what happened.
Today my cousin is staying the night at my place because tomorrow we're going to Lisbon tomorrow.
